The theme for the April edition of Leadership Guide Magazine is “The role of ethical leaders in the current economic crisis.” In times like these it is critically important that leaders in all walks of life “step up” to the task of helping their personnel cope with the added stress that comes with uncertainty and fear. And on a broader basis, leaders need to do what they can to help those suffering from the loss of income and even their homes.
The first two stories are written by our editor Linda Hatcher. In “ Practical Actions Ethical Leaders are taking During Tough Times” she distills six leadership lessons from a variety of leaders. The second article “Be a Yang Leader: Leading from Personal Strength and Light” gives inspiring hints on rediscovering yourself and strengthening your own values as a way to be able to lead frightened people more effectively.
The third article is written by Fred A. Manske Jr., the former CEO of Purolator Courier Ltd. and Senior Vice President of Federal Express is entitled “The Power of Good in the Human Spirit.” It talks about how you can set the example of “caring for the less fortunate” during these difficult times.
