With the beginning of a new year and a new decade it is appropriate that all of us reflect on what we can do differently during the next 12 months to be more effective, ethical leaders. The theme for the January edition of Leadership Guide Magazine is therefore simply “renewal.”
Our first article entitled “Guiding Words to a Successful 2010” is written by Seth Godin. He is a remarkable and accomplished author and innovative thinker. For this article we have taken inspiration from one of his recent ideas called the “What Matters Now” project. In this project, Godin and 70 other top leaders and visionaries chose ONE word they thought would be most important for the New Year. They then wrote a page explaining why their word was so important. We think you will be inspired, like we were, by the key words that were chosen.
In the second article, “ Snapshots of Proven Ways to Lead Ethically in the New Year,” we consider ways that effective, ethical leaders can focus their organization for success.
Finally, in an effort to add one more dose of inspiration, we have provided our 10 Favorite Eethics Quotations for you to use as your “guideposts” for living an ethical life.
We hope you enjoy this interesting issue. Happy New Year!
