It is hard to believe that the holiday season is once more upon us. For employers this often means hosting office parties and inviting subordinates to a luncheon at a nearby restaurant. It also means selecting the appropriate gift for key customers. For employees, the holiday season gives everyone a chance to let down a bit by decorating the office and bringing in some home made treats to share with everyone.
The holiday season should be a time to build bridges of goodwill with everyone in the enterprize. This issue of Leadership Guide Magazine is therefore devoted to providing some valuable suggestions on how to do so without tarnishing the reputation of the company or any one individual. The first article is entitled "Sensible Holiday Guidelines" and the other is "Great Gift Ideas for Employees and Clients." Both are written by Linda Hatcher.
This issue also contains the second part of the article "Holding Subordinates Accountable" by Fred A. Manske Jr. In it, you will learn how to deal with subordinates whom do not perform up to standard.
The staff of Leadership Education and Development wishes everyone a joyous and prosperous holiday season.
