In this edition of Leadership Guide Magazine , we feature an article by Jerome Alexander, author of 160 Degrees of Deviation: The Case for the Corporate Cynic. From his blog he discusses what he sees is a distrubing trend in business; the destruction of trust in the workplace. The second featured article is written by Linda Hatcher, Editor-in-Chief of Leader Guide Magazine. In it she presents Alexanders ideas on how leaders can move from cynicism to true leadership in their organizations.
The third article is titled "Trusting Your Subordinates" by Fred A. Manske Jr. In the article Manske says, "one of the biggest mistakes leaders make is to undersell their people by not having faith in them." He goes on to relate an incident early in his career when his boss taught him a valuable lesson about trusting others; a lesson he never forgot.
